The Chironomid Frenchie came about when I, and several of my fishing friends started catching fish in lakes on standard Frenchies. I then added gills, removed the tail, and changed the Frenchie s gold bead for a more air bubble imitating silver bead. The result is the most effective chironomid pattern I ve fished.
