Griffin Supreme Ceramic Bobbin Fly Tying Tool - Combining the durability of stainless steel tube with the ceramic insert and nylon beads, this bobbin is the workhorse of the tying industry. Griffin's revolutionary ceramic insert is virtually wear free. The beads are made of nylon, which insures the smoothest gliding spools possible. The inner diameter of the bobbin tube is 1/16, for easier threading and less wax buildup. Each bobbin is highly polished to remove all burrs or rough edges.

The Griffin Fly Tying Bobbin comes in two styles of bobbins, standard and ceramic tip. The standard bobbin in very similar to a Matarelli bobbin, but has black plastic spindles instead of brass spindles on the legs that fit into the hole through a spool of thread. This is a very good bobbin that will last many years. The ceramic tip bobbin is the same as the standard, but has a flared tip that contains a ceramic insert.
